Kay Soi Term 2 Immersion 2024 Transfromers Recount

On the 29th of April term 2 began, we had an Immersion assembly like always at the start of a term at Pt England School. They started the assembly by explaining transformers, transformers is the theme for this term and transformers means that you can transform into anything while doing drama. 

There were 6 short performances for each team plus the senior management team, each team had to do a play or video related to the theme of the term. After they explained what transformers were, they all went up to the stage and they tried on different costumes then they went off the stage and Mr Burt was dressed as a Pharaoh.

And then it was Team One’s turn and they had a video. Their video was about guessing emotions and the teachers acted out different emotions and the other teachers had to guess the emotion the teacher was acting as. The video was like an episode of a show and it ended with no one winning.

Secondly, it was Team 2’s turn and they also had a video, which was based on a story about how Kiwi saved the forest. Team 3 did a play on the stage. It was a play about Matilda. Team 4 did a play about a teacher and the students acting out different emotions. 

Finally, Team 5 had a play and it was Cinderella but it was another version than the children’s one. Mr Wiseman played the storyteller and Mr Moran as Cinderella. Their play was normal until Cinderella lost one of her shoes and one of the stepsisters took her shoe and got rid of it. Then when the prince was checking people’s shoe sizes to see who fit the shoe the step-sister who replaced the shoe fit her shoe but the prince didn’t want to marry her so he cut off her head, then the second step-sister wanted to try it on too but he cut off her head as well. When Cinderella saw this then she didn’t want to marry a person who kills people for fun so she told the magic fairy that she wanted to marry a kind man, so she ended up with a kind man.

I get surprised a lot but I will be writing about a time last year when I got surprised at camp. It was the first day of camp and they were telling us what cabin group we were in. We were sitting down in the hot sun and they were calling letters then names. It got to the letter R, and they called out my name. I stood up waiting for my friends because we got to pick our cabin roommates so of course I picked my friends! But then they stopped calling the names, they paused then said a letter, but I didn’t hear any of my friend’s names? Did that mean I was in a different cabin with none of my friends???? >:C

 I was shocked, then frustrated, but then I had to pick up my day bag and put it on my back because I needed to go to my room. I was sad because I had to share a room with someone I didn’t like. It was bad enough that no one I picked was in my cabin, but someone I didn’t like was in my cabin!!!! So of course I wanted to know why they did this! But I couldn’t do anything, so I just had to deal with it. But at least my roommates didn’t bother me and were quite nice and Camp Bentzon was still fun even though it could have been better.

The best food I have ever tasted I think it is duck with rice. It’s good and my family buys takeout and gives it to me. It’s sooooo delicious and I love it. I can’t remember the first time I’ve ever tasted it. But it’s so delicious and I don’t know what to do to make this two hundred words like I don’t know. And it’s so delicious, did I say that already? I don’t know how I will make this two hundred words, but if I don’t, I never complete writing work anyway.

Yes, it’s so delicious. I will try to recount the last time I ate rice with duck. The last time I ate rice with duck was in my last apartment and it was so so so so so so so so yummy, delicious, enjoyable, appetizing, juicy, and tasty. The last time I ate it uh I think in my old apartment the day before moving out I think and I loved it and it’s so delicious with rice and I think my parents buy it at GI or some other place. And we ate on the leftover cardboard boxes because all the furniture got moved. I loved eating it as a little kid and still love it and uh it’s already two hundred words so yeah this may be the worst writing I have ever done in my life. It’s maybe even worse than my year 1 writing and I only did 105 words on the actual recount so I don’t think I will post this.

Term 4 Immersion Assembly Recount Writing

Today I went to school after the 2 week holiday and it was nice seeing everyone again and we went inside after the 8:30 bell rang and Ms Tuia let us inside our classrooms. When the 8:50 bell rang room 7 lined up outside our classroom and we went to the hall when Mrs Lagitupu came outside and we went with her to the hall. When we saw the stage we were confused why there was a big tub of water and water that seemed to be leaking from the roof. And then Mr Burnt started talking about term 4 for a few seconds, Mrs Noa came to the front of the hall but she was not on the stage and then Mrs Noa asked about the tub of water.

 

Mr Jacobson came on stage. He explained that there were leaks around the school due to climate change but they fixed them but when they came to school in the morning there was a leak on the stage. And he got a 1000 litre tub to catch the water but the tub is almost full (800 litres) and he doesn’t know how to move it.  Mrs Noa was angry that they chose a shortcut and now they have a big tub of water on the stage and didn’t fix the leak. Mrs Noa went up on stage and then Mr Somerville came on stage and said that they could use a siphon to get rid of the water and then told Mr Jacobson to put a thing that looked like a hose (I forgot the name) in the tub and hold it still.

 

Mr Somerville turned the hose thing on because he connected it to a water thing and turned the water on and the students saw it coming. But, the hose water didn’t reach the tub water. And the students saw the water going down and they were disappointed. The water came up again and it reached the tub water and then the students were a bit happy. And then Mr Somerville said that he was going to drop the hose thing and it will make a siphon. And then he dropped the hose thing and then the tub water started to come out along with the hose water.
