The Solar System And Our Sun Research Task (With Video) – Week 1-2 Term 1 2025

Hello, people! Last week and this week, I have been researching the solar system and out Sun with a partner, Maraea! We also recorded a video to go with this task (see on slide 10 (ten)). I will be adding subtitles soon, however that may take a while. Bye, people!

Kay Soi – Quick Write – 29.4.2025

In the midst of the peaceful night sky and stars, an aurora with soft hues shines brightly above a rocky and snowy mountain. A vivid lemon coloured tent is settled upon a flat place on the snow of the mountain. A cluster of stars is visible just behind the soft aurora. The light toned aurora and the cluster of stars unite to create a x in the middle of the dark blue night sky, with the height of the rocky mountain almost being able to conceal it.

Hello, everyone!

I wrote this at literacy, this morning. We had to describe a picture, as we may see, there is a picture above. Just below the picture, is a piece of writing I wrote to explain it. My explanation may not be the best, as this is not the area of writing I usually do, I am looking forward to improving my skills, soon.

Thank you for reading, everyone.

E kore a muri e hokia | What is done is done (Animation) – Extension

DISCLAIMER. Any characters who may look or may act like real people are all coincidences.

Hello, everyone! This is my animation of E kore a muri e hokia/What is done is done! You may have seen my previous post about this whakatauki, and this is my animation of it. See my post to learn more. Below is the subtitles if you cannot hear the voice clearly.

What is done is done

E kore a muri e kokia

Hello everyone! This is my Extension project for Term 1 2025! I am Kay Soi, a year 8 from Pt England School.

This term, we had to create an animation explaining a whakatauki that we chose at the start of this term, what is done is done means that we cannot change the past. So it is best to continue moving forward in our lives.

That means to keep on moving forward no matter what happened or what we did in the past.

The end! I hope you enjoyed my video!

Ruthless – Interview With The Author

Sorry for the damaged audio! Comment if you want another point of view that I recorded; the second point of view has better audio.

Hello everyone! Recently, our literacy class has been working on creating an interview on the book Ruthless. My partner is now Maraea. We had to pretend that someone was the author of the book, and the other person was an interviewer. I am the interviewer, and Maraea is acting as the author. Goodbye! I hope you enjoy the interview.

Hey guys, I’m back. This is one of my mathematics tasks. I finished this a while ago, however I did not know that we needed to blog it. So, I’m blogging it now. I hope this post teaches you about analysing data if you didn’t know how to before.

E kore a muri e hokia | What is done is done – Extension

Hello people! This is one of my Extension projects. For Extension, we had to find a whakatauki and make a presentation explaining what we believe the whakatauki could mean, and then use and AI image generator to complete this by generating images for our whakatauki.

Sorry I posted this a bit late! I finished this on Wednesday and I only just posted this now.

ROUNDING POSTER

We are learning to round numbers to make data easier to use.

Today, we used Google Drawings to create a Rounding Rules Poster.  We wrote the key steps for rounding and added examples for rounding to the nearest 10, 100, and 1,000. To make our posters engaging, we used colours, images, and number lines to explain the rules clearly.

Hello people! This is my first post of 2025, this post is a poster I made about rounding for math. I hope this poster is helpful for anyone who wants to learn how to round!
